Onboarding Your Store
A step-by-step guide to setting up your store on Lokzon through the onboarding wizard — from choosing your store name to launching your dashboard.
Part 1: Entering the Onboarding Wizard
1.1 The Onboarding Page
After successful account verification, you land on the onboarding page at /onboarding. This is a 4-step wizard that helps you configure your store. A progress bar at the top shows which step you are on.
The 4 steps:
| Step | Name | What You Do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Business Information | Enter your store name, category, and web address |
| 2 | Design | Upload your logo |
| 3 | Plan | Choose a subscription or start a free trial |
| 4 | Launch | Confirm and go live |
What you see at the top:
- The Lokzon logo.
- A progress indicator: "Step 1 of 4" with a progress bar.
- A "Log out" button in the top-right corner.
Part 2: Step 1 — Store Information
This is the most detailed step. It requires the following:
2.1 Store Name (Required)
Enter the name you want customers to see. Example: "Karim's Fashion Hub" or "Digital Gadgets Store".
- Must be at least 2 characters.
- This is your store's display name on the platform.
2.2 Category (Required)
Select what type of products you sell from this list:
- Fashion and Apparel
- Electronics
- Food and Beverages
- Home and Garden
- Beauty and Personal Care
- Sports and Outdoors
- Books and Media
- Toys and Games
- Other
If your business type is not in the list, choose "Other". You can change it later from your store settings.
2.3 Store URL — Subdomain (Required)
This is your store's address on Lokzon: https://<your-choice>.lokzon.com
- Must be at least 3 characters.
- Use only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
- As you type, the system checks availability:
- A green checkmark means the address is available.
- A red message means it is already taken or invalid.
If your subdomain is taken: Try adding a number or a different word. For example, if "karims-store" is taken, try "karims-store-2025".
2.4 Store Description (Optional)
A short paragraph about what your store sells (up to 1000 characters).
2.5 Business Address (Optional)
Your physical address. Example: "123 Main Street, Dhaka".
2.6 Owner Phone (Optional)
A contact number where customers or the platform can reach you.
2.7 Timezone (Optional, Default: Asia/Dhaka)
Set your local time zone for store operations.
Note: Your store's currency is set to BDT (Bangladeshi Taka) automatically. No need to choose anything.
2.9 What Happens When You Click "Next"
- All required fields are checked.
- If anything is missing, a message tells you what needs to be fixed.
- If everything is correct, your store information is saved and you move to Step 2.
- A notification appears: "Step 1 Complete! Your store is set up."
Part 3: Step 2 — Design and Logo
3.1 Store Logo
You have two options:
- Upload a logo file (PNG, JPG, or WebP, up to 5MB). Drag your image to the upload area or click to browse.
- Paste a URL if your logo is already hosted online.
After uploading, a preview of your logo appears. You can remove it and start over if needed.
Best practice: Use a square image (512x512 pixels) for best results.
3.2 What Happens When You Click "Next"
- The logo is saved to your store.
- A notification appears: "Step 2 Complete! Design saved."
- You move to Step 3.
Can you go back? Yes — on Step 2 and Step 3, you can use the "Back" button to return to the previous step. However, Step 1 has no Back button — it is the first step, so there is no way to go back from there.
Part 4: Step 3 — Choosing a Plan
4.1 What You See
A list of available plans is shown, each displayed as a card:
- Plan name (e.g., Kickstart, Growth, Pro, Visionary).
- Monthly price in BDT.
- Features included with the plan.
- Badges for popular or recommended plans.
A note at the top says: "Choose a plan or skip to start a free trial."
4.2 Two Ways to Proceed
Option A: Select a Paid Plan
- Click on a plan card to highlight it.
- The button at the bottom shows the plan's price.
- Clicking it takes you to a secure payment page.
- Complete the payment there.
- After payment, you are returned to the onboarding page.
- A "Verifying payment" message appears while the system confirms.
- Once confirmed, you move to Step 4.
Option B: Start a Free Trial
- Click "Skip and start a free trial" at the bottom.
- The system skips plan selection and starts a trial (typically 7 days).
- You can set up your store and add products during the trial.
- You can choose a paid plan later from your settings.
4.3 Important
- Do not close or refresh the page while payment is being verified. It usually takes a few seconds.

5.1 What You See
A summary of your store setup:
- Store configured — all details saved.
- Plan selected or Trial active — based on your choice.
- Ready for business — a green checkmark.
If you uploaded a logo, you see a preview of it.
Two buttons: "Back" (to Step 3) and "Launch Store" (the main action).
5.2 When You Click "Launch Store"
- A full-screen animation shows 4 phases:
- Phase 1: Initializing storefront
- Phase 2: Synchronizing data
- Phase 3: Applying safeguards
- Phase 4: Preparing the live store
- The animation runs for about 15 seconds.
